Debbie and staff,
We are great fans of Kellys Landing as we both work at xxxxx, which is right down the street from you. We come in quite often. Well my husband had to come in and give xxxxx some info and he mentioned about all the goings on outside etc.

I usually cook my own corn beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day, but the last two years we stopped at two well known Irish Pubs in town and brought the dinners home and both times the food was TERRIBLE. My husband is 100% Irish so it has to be good.

As we have never been disappointed at Kelly's, my husband stopped and got two Corn Beef Dinners and I have to tell you, as usual you came through again. The Corn Beef was fabulous, the cabbage, carrots and little red potatoes were perfectly cooked and we enjoyed every single bite and ate it all and it was a large portion. Needless to say, I don’t think I will ever cook it at home anymore.

We know Ft. Lauderdale is lucky to have you around. But we don’t want the tourists to find out about you as we want to keep you to us, your local fans, of which you have many.

Just wanted to say “Thanks for all of your hard work by everyone there”, it is much appreciated.

I have never written a comment on a restaurant before but was/am so impressed with my lunch, I had to write. I am a born New Englander who spent my whole life there until retiring to Florida 15 years ago. I currently reside in the Tampa area but was visiting family in Pompano when, In discussion I mentioned the fact that I could not get a good lobster roll (with melted butter served in a toasted roll) in my area or good whole belly clams. My relative said he knew just where to take me. When I walked in, I told the hostess I was from New England and she said "you won't be disappointed." I can not tell you how right she was. My husband and I both ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll (Connecticut is my home) and also ordered a side order of fried Ipswich clams. I can only say that I wish I could move to your area. If I closed my eyes, I would have thought I was back in West Haven at a restaurant called Jimmies. That is the wonderful food I had all my life and yours was equally as good. I can find nothing negative to say. The staff was delightful and checked with us constantly to make sure all was ok with us. How about opening another Kelly's in my area? Again, many thanks.

Gee, for a seafood place you sure serve the best burgers in town. (We think he meant "burgah").

To the owners and/or managers of Kelly's Landing:
I would just like to take the time to tell you of my dining at your restaurant last night. I do not usually do this but we were impressed with everything. We live in Miami and it was our first time there and wow it was not what we expected. It was lobster special Tuesday and very crowded. If we knew that we may have come on a different day. The hostess greeted us with a friendly smile which made us feel like we wanted to wait for a table. She even came to our table and asked us how we liked everything and if we needed anything. When we left she thanked us for dining there. Where do you get that in South Florida? The waitress was also so very sweet and told us of the lobster special and checked on us often even as busy as she was. And the food was delicious, great chowder, onion rings, and the lobster was the best around. There are not many places that have nice staff and such good food. We will definitely be back and hope it is just as good as last night. You have great chefs and staff. Keep up the good work!

What an awesome job you did for our lobster clam bake! It was the best ever. You really know how to put on a wonderful feast. "Everyone" loved it. The lobsters and steamers were cooked to perfection. "Everything" was wonderful. Thank you a thousand times for a great night, you both are the best.

I knew I liked Kelly's Landing when the first thing our waitress offered was a free draft beer or glass of wine. It was customer-appreciation week, and this is what good neighbors do around the holidays. It didn't matter that I'd never set foot in Kelly's Landing. I was a customer.

Owner Debbie Skinner pays the same attention to her employees. If you're reading this on Sunday, you should also know that Kelly's is closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. That's what good restaurant owners do for themselves and their employees at Christmastime. This New England-style seafood restaurant with a decidedly old-fashioned menu isn't celebrating its 25th anniversary for nothing.

Kelly's Landing is nothing to look at. There's no water view. No New England charm. It's set in the corner of a strip mall with 73 seats inside, another 14 outside. Every surface is decorated with Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins memorabilia. The waitresses are well-seasoned and beyond knowledgeable.

Start with one of the New England clam chowders ($4 mug, $6 bowl) around. It was a little salty at lunch one day, less so on another visit. More important, it was thick without tasting thickened. Each day brings a different "wicked good" soup: seafood chili on Wednesday, for example, French onion on Thursdays and fish chowda on Fridays.

Among the most popular items are Ipswich clams. Order them steamed and served with drawn butter ($10 small/$17 large), or fried. Have them fried as part of a platter ($20) or as a side dish ($10), by the pint ($17) or quart ($28).

Onion rings ($4 half, $6 full) are among the appetizers, and there are enough in the half order for six people.

The Lobstah roll ($16) is served traditionally on a New England-style split roll with fries and coleslaw. Kelly's doesn't scrimp on lobster. I ordered a 2-pound whole Maine lobster ($40) one night, and it was steamed just right.

On Fridays and Saturdays, Kelly's offers prime rib ($18 queen cut/$22 king cut) and it stood up against the seafood offerings. It was cooked as we'd ordered it and served with horseradish sauce and au jus.

There is always a choice of side dishes. Be sure to order the coleslaw, crisp and fresh and neither too creamy nor vinegary. I thought the Boston baked beans, served in their own little pot, needed salt. But baked potatoes are always perfect.

Kelly's has something at every price point, starting with $8 burgers and $9 clam strip rolls. There's also shrimp Parmesan ($18), a 10-ounce New York strip steak ($19) and lobster scampi ($25).

Leave room for desserts, which are made in house. Skinner may be a native of Fort Lauderdale, but she now not only roots for the Red Sox, but also makes incredible Boston cream pie ($4). Likewise, Key lime pie ($4) is a careful combination of sweet and tart.

Kelly's Landing isn't fancy. It's just good food and good service.

To the management and/or owners of Kellys Landing:
Just giving you a shout out for a great restaurant. I am there for lobster Tuesdays at least twice a month, and always enjoy it. Your food is consistently delicious, and your staff is also amazing. I've had several different servers and their all great - and your hostess does a fantastic job and seems like she really enjoys her job. It's not easy pleasing everyone, but it sure makes me feel good when a recommendation I make to friends is always a good one.

Just a short note to say that we have just returned from a winter cruise and vacation in Florida.
Without any doubt whatsoever the best meal, experience and memory throughout the whole trip was a visit to Kelly's Landing before we set sail.
Your lobster was remarkable, your staff were superb and the whole evening was a delight.
We have every intention of returning to Fort Lauderdale at a future date and our first port of call will be with you.
Please pass on our thanks to your front of house staff, the amazing waitresses, the world class kitchen team and everyone in your establishment.
As far as we are concerned you are all Number One! Take a bow!
Hope to see you soon.

What a great experience Max had for his first lobster dinner and his 10th birthday celebration. Now he really knows how to eat every last piece of meat, use every "lobster" tool and get dirty. How many times can you actually tell a child he is allowed to eat with his hands?

Thank you and your team for making it a big deal too. The food was great and the place lively! I have never heard so many Boston accents in one place that is not Boston! We will definitely return!

Here are a few pictures that we took. Feel free to use what you'd like for your website....we will check it out!

Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed my Stone Crabs and beer yesterday and my wife enjoyed her shrimp, clam chowder, and wine. We will be sure to visit whenever we are in town and highly recommend Kelly's Landing. Thanks.

I had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant this past Saturday. Some friends has recommended it, and so the four of us decided to try it. Wow! The food was great! And what friendly staff! Our server was Donna, and she asked if we had been there before, and explained everything to us. She was great! And your hostess Toni was probably the friendliest one we have EVER had in any restaurant! Both of these girls made us feel so welcome. We will surely be returning SOON! It was a great time, thanks!

My husband and I came to the restaurant last night for the first time, our hotel recommended it. I don't usually send emails when i am pleased with places, but i have to give credit where it is due. The food was good, Darlene the waitress was very good as well, but your hostess Toni was absolutely amazing! She was so personable and caring (she checked on everyone to see if they needed anything) and did it all with true compassion as well as a smile. Our next trip down there, we will definitely be back to your restaurant-and will highly recommend it to our friends and family that live in South Florida. Your clam chowder is great! Great job.

I want to say thank you for the great service from Laura. My hat goes of to the chefs. They served a wonderful meal. Couldn't ask for a better dinner and atmosphere. We will return soon. Thank you.

My name is Stewart, and I visited your wonderful establishment on St.Patrick's Day, and was fortunate enough to stop by the 8th of April, Opening Day @ Fenway! It was wonderful, and I sure hope to stop by the next time I'm able to get to Florida. Thanks for the Hospitality.

We were one of the couples that came in w/the crazy party of 14 from Coral Springs. Once again Donna was our waitress and we enjoyed the food and service so much. Thank you so much for supporting our music program (Coral Glades High School) with all your gift certificates, you were very generous!

Kelly's Landing relocated from Boston to South Florida 23 years ago and has long since established a loyal following. This little place is such a hot spot for New England seafood that the wait for a table can take up to an hour. The New England clam chowder is the perfect warmup for lobster, clam fritters, crab cakes, sea scallops, mussels, scrod, oysters, shrimp and Ipswich clams. Kelly's also makes a mean burger (spelled "burgah" on the menu) and the kind of baked beans that earned Boston its Beantown nickname.

This small, family-owned place has been in business for 24 years. Its signature seafood is flown in twice a week from New England. Owner Debbie Skinner started as a waitress at the restaurant and gradually bought out the original owners. On a busy weekend night you'll find Skinner and her family members working the dining room. Whether you're a regular or it's your first time, it's the kind of friendly service that's rare in South Florida. Come early on Saturday night or make a reservation, because the restaurant fills quickly. You could end up outside waiting unless you can nab one of the seats at the bar, where the Red Sox game is usually on the television. While you're perusing the menu, order some of the "Best Eva" onion rings to munch on -- they live up to their billing. A half order is enough for everyone at the table to taste. The little lobster icons on the menu will guide you to the specialties. A must-have: Ipswich clams, either steamed in the shells or deep fried. We shared a plate of the fried, full-bellied clams. With a light batter, they were almost as good as the ones from New England roadside clam shacks. Another winner was sea scallops. The sweet seafood was enhanced by the preparation, baked with lemon and butter and topped with fresh breadcrumbs.

We just received your Email for the special Father's day menu. I don't know if you remember us but we were at your incredible restaurant during our anniversary trip the last week of May. I've been wanting to write to tell you that your food is beyond description and your staff is incredible. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. We absolutely loved the dinner and the lunch we had. You were wonderful in sending us the artichoke dip to celebrate our anniversary. We frequently come to Ft. Lauderdale and will always return to Kelly's. Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experience. I only wish you would open a restaurant in New York.

I just wanted to drop a note to let you know what a great experience we had dining at your restaurant last night. It was our first time there, and we will definitely be back! The server was good, the food was great, but your hostess really stood out and made the evening most enjoyable! Not only did she keep us informed about our wait, but she was the absolute sweetest and very accommodating. She came by our table a few times to check that everything was okay and got us whatever we needed when our server was busy. Thank you for a great Friday night.
